Bom Dia!! We hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! We are excited to continue our countdown to Brazilian Day!!! We've added some new elements to this year's festival and we can't wait for you to join us!!

Make sure to join us at dusk the day of the festival as we'll kick off the evening with a many parade of Brazilian drummers playing batucada beats walking and dancing around the festival grounds! We are encouraging all attendees to dress in your best Brazilian colors, and pick up a Brazilian flag!! We want to see you dancing, following along and waiving your flags high for all to see!!

​7th annual Brazilian Day Festival is reimagined & remixed with new day-time and night-time activities exploring Brazil – past, present and future!
This year’s theme will celebrate both Brazil’s Independence Day and the country’s beloved Carnaval with a multifaceted presentation of Brazilian culture taking place both indoors and outdoors. The celebration will kick off with an outdoor main stage featuring live music, DJs, and dance performances, while local vendors, mobile eateries and a fun children’s crafts area will keep attendees having a good time until the sun goes down. At sunset, a Batucada (drum line) parade will ensue around the Festival encouraging attendees to wave their Brazilian flags, dance and follow along for a good time. As day becomes night, lights will shine brightly with dancing, costumes and performances to the sounds of samba, samba-reggae, pagode and axé music – right from "Carnaval"!

SWEATY SEXY SAMBA FROM RIO DE JANEIRO! 
We are very excited to welcome returning Samba Queen Contest (2015) winner, and beautiful friend from Brazil, Ms Mirian Silva as a featured guest at this year's Brazilian Day Festival. A Carioca from Rio, Mirian will be teaching, sweating, and dancing her way through a 30 minute workshop called - Sweaty Sexy Samba™ Fitness. Sweaty Sexy Samba™ Fitness is a concept that provides dance fitness classes by utilizing various forms of traditional and non-traditional Brazilian dances. ​The movements are choreographed in order to target certain areas of the body by utilizing the following dances: Traditional Samba, Samba Reggae and Axe, Frevo, and Funk Carioca.
